For Your Information:

*Students will be introduced to a service learning project in advisory, Chores for Change, to help raise money for an Orphanage in Haiti. Kids will be given an envelope to help keep track of “chores” they do and money collected. All money collected will benefit the Horizon de l’Espor children’s home in Port-au-Prince Haiti that was devastated in the earthquake. This initiative is district wide so you will hear about it from all your children. Please help us by giving your kids some chores to help raise funds for this worthy cause. Feel free to view the project at http://haitiexchangeofhope.blogspot.com/ There is a prize for the advisory that raises the most money.

*Adopt-a-Family was introduced in advisory before Thanksgiving. Please help your kids with their purchases. All gifts need to be returned to school by December 6. We will wrap in advisory on December 9.
*Effective second trimester: 1) No late work will be accepted on the team; 2 )Mrs. Rogers’ study sessions will be as follows: Monday Lunch – Math 7 students, Tuesday Lunch – Math 8 students, Wednesday Lunch – Algebra 7 students, Thursday Lunch – Algebra 8 students; Please try to adhere to these days for extra help as it is difficult to work with 4 different groups at the same time in a short period of time. Thanks for your cooperation with this, I believe it will be beneficial to everyone.
