*All textbooks need to be returned by June 3.

*Please review the dress code on pages 15 and 16 of your child’s planner with your child. With the warmer weather we are seeing lots of student’s dressed inappropriately. Dress code is enforced through the last day of school.
*I received a letter from OPRF that states that all freshman enrolled in a math class will be required to purchase a TI-Nspire touchpad or TI-Nspire CX calculator. This is different from the TI-84 plus that your older child may have used. This calculator is legal to use on all standardized tests, including the ACT and SAT. The OPRF bookstore will sell this calculator at a competitive price of $147.83. When I was at the math convention I had an opportunity to see and use this calculator.

Parents, please take a few minutes to review this with your child so you will know what is expected for this week. Also, be aware that sometimes things arise and we do not always accomplish what we have planned.

*We are asking for your help. We are seeing an increase usage of cell phones DURING THE SCHOOL DAY. Sometimes the students respond they are talking to their parents, which in their mind is okay. The policy says phones should be off (not vibrate) during the school day and not be turned on until they are out of the building. They may keep the phone on their person but it should be out of sight. Due to the style of clothing, we frequently see phones sticking out of pockets or being dropped on the floor because they don’t fit in the pockets. We have a basket we can hold phones in for the day and return to students at 3:30. Very few students are utilizing this system. We would appreciate any assistance for you.

Parents, please take a few minutes to review this with your child so you will know what is expected for this week. Also, be aware that sometimes things arise and we do not always accomplish what we have planned.
