This is different from the TI-84 plus that your older child may have used. This calculator is legal to use on all standardized tests, including the ACT and SAT. We are seeing an increase usage of cell phones DURING THE SCHOOL DAY. Sometimes the students respond they are talking to their parents, which in their mind is okay. The policy says phones should be off (not vibrate) during the school day and not be turned on until they are out of the building. They may keep the phone on their person but it should be out of sight. Due to the style of clothing, we frequently see phones sticking out of pockets or being dropped on the floor because they don’t fit in the pockets. We have a basket we can hold phones in for the day and return to students at 3:30. Very few students are utilizing this system. We would appreciate any assistance for you.

Parents, please take a few minutes to review this with your child so you will know what is expected for this week. Unfortunately, we needed to communicate with Key Lime Cove the number of people who would be attending. If I did not receive your “reservation” it is now too late to turn in. If you are one of the people who did not pay on time you will either need to come to school on June 1st or remain at home. There will be teachers at school who will be in charge of students not going on the trip. If your child remains at home, please make sure they are called in sick as it is a school day.
*Envelopes for Great America were passed out on Monday, April 18. We will run 30 minute classes in the morning with a focused study session upon completion of the test.
*No advisory this week due to MAP Testing.
*We are asking for your help.
